Academic Career Development Working Group

The Academic Career Development Working Group (ACDWG) was established to consider:

  • Academic progression and promotion pathways
  • Standardised job descriptions
  • Accelerated progression processes
  • Flexible working practices
  • Academic workload
  • Benchmark against good practice in sector

The group produced a report with 12 recommendations, which were approved by the Academic Board in June 2017. The report can be accessed here: ACDWG Approved Report

A number of staff roadshows have taken place in 2018 to communicate the changes that are being made as a result of ACDWG to staff. The presentation made to staff at the roadshows can be accessed here: Staff Roadshows 2018
