Our beautiful campus

"A place where opportunities are
 limited only by your imagination

Edge Hill is a University on an impressive journey

In the past ten years Edge Hill University has risen more than forty places in national league tables.  We were the Times Higher Education University of the Year in 2014/15, having been shortlisted four times, and were described by the judges as “A great success story… an institution that improves and impresses year after year”.  We were also the Times and Sunday Times University of the Year for Student Retention in 2018 and in 2019 received one of just six Global Teaching Excellence Awards. Most recently, we returned to the Times Higher stage this year, acquiring our fifth University of the Year shortlisting.

We are seeking an individual with strategic and organisational vision and admirable team working and interpersonal skills to lead this rapidly growing faculty to further success.

In this key Executive role, you will have autonomy for all aspects of the strategic direction of the Faculty of Health, Social Care & Medicine and its future positioning in regional, national and international contexts. Reporting directly to the Vice-Chancellor and working as part of the 7 strong executive team (known as Directorate) you will have opportunity to help shape the wider University’s strategic objectives.

This role is pivotal in leading, encouraging and initiating academic development and planning within the Faculty and across the University, fostering cross-institutional co-operation in the furtherance of the University's mission statement and strategic plan.
