Offers of Appointment

Once the interviews are complete the Chair of the selection panel will contact the preferred candidate and make  a conditional verbal offer of employment.  This will be followed by a formal written conditional offer of employment which will be subject to a minimum of 2 satisfactory references covering the past 3 year period, verification of qualifications, medical clearance, eligibility to work in the UK and where appropriate a DBS check.

Legally Edge Hill University must ask all new employees to provide documentary evidence of their eligibility to work in the UK this will require the production of a valid full UK birth certificate or passport and an official document confirming your National Insurance Number. For certain posts if you do not have the required eligibility, we may be able to assist in applying for a Certificate of Sponsorship.

All posts are subject to the satisfactory completion of a 12 month probationary period.

When we have completed all the necessary employment checks, we will confirm a start date with you.

Please note that Edge Hill University operates a No Smoking Policy with smoking only permitted in certain areas of the campus.
