About the Role

As Lecturer in FinTech Law, you will be required to make a significant contribution to the delivery of our LLB and LLM programmes, contributing to the delivery of our modules on FinTech and cyber law and other areas of our core curriculum depending on your areas of expertise and experience.

At Edge Hill we operate a working model similar to those found in research-intensive universities, with academics’ time split 40:40:20 (Teaching, Research, and Administration, respectively).

The School is ideally located between several large cities with thriving legal practices as well as being near to the new National Cyber Force centre in Samlesbury. 

You will be expected to contribute to research activities at the School and meet the requirements for submission to the next Research Excellence Framework (REF) exercise.

About You

You will be an enthusiastic and friendly professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills coupled with a commitment to providing an excellent student experience. An established or promising research profile and experience of teaching are essential. 

You will contribute to teaching on our LLB programmes in particular through the development of modules relating to digital law and law and technology. You will play a key role in delivering FinTech and cyber-law related modules on our innovative LLM Artificial Intelligence, Digital and Cyber Law and contribute to future postgraduate programme development in associated fields.

In return, you will join a forward thinking and dynamic team that pushes the boundaries of curriculum development and research.

A PhD, or close to completed PhD (or equivalent demonstration of research capability) in law or a closely related field, is essential.
