About the Role

This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity for a Grounds Maintenance Operative (Gardens) to join Edge Hill University’s Grounds Team. You will have direct responsibility for ensuring that the campus grounds, gardens, landscaping, and external sports facilities are maintained to the highest possible standard. Your duties will include site-wide: 

  • Horticulture
  • Driving duties
  • Litter picking
  • Cleaning
  • Event/function preparation and presentation

About You

As Grounds Maintenance Operative, you will:

  • Be familiar with working in a busy environment and able to work unsupervised.
  • Be able to plan your own work within a priority list.
  • Be a team player and fully engage with all staff.
  • Be hardworking and have an eye for attention to detail.
  • Take pride in your work and enjoy working outside, with wildlife in a unique setting.
