About You

An enthusiastic, inspiring and resilient professional, you will be a key player in fulfilling the vision and ambitions of the Department of Secondary and Further Education. You will have the communication skills and expertise to build relationships and positively engage with and influence both diverse stakeholder groups and colleagues within the organisation. 

You will have experience of developing, managing and quality assuring ITE programmes, initiatives and courses. You are adaptable, engaging and have high levels of emotional intelligence.

You will have demonstrable experience and expertise in teacher education, with the ability to see and nurture the links between research, practice and knowledge exchange, and a commitment to positive change and impact outside academia.

About the Role 

Working to the Head of Department, you will take a key responsibility for the strategic and operational planning related to Initial Teacher Education in the department, which includes internal leadership for the preparation of Ofsted inspections, ITE curriculum development and design and quality management. In addition to working closely with the Head of Department, you will also enjoy a collaborative working relationship with the Head of Partnership Development and other senior colleagues.
