About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Research Projects Coordinator to provide quality research support to enthusiastic team(s) of academics leading research projects. You will work in the project called “ChildDataVerif: Verifying the compliance of Android apps against regulations on children’s data protection”, where they will propose and develop approaches to identify, analyse, and extract the features of Android apps that may have impact on children’s personal data. 

You will be part of the Cyber Security Research Group in the Department of Computer Science, working in an inspiring, productive, and friendly environment with other researchers in the field. 

In addition, the Research Projects Coordinator will be supported as follows: 

1.         Supervised and mentored by senior researchers in the project, to learn and improve new skills and experience in this area.  

2.         You will be a co-author of the publication (published in reputed journals) and the prototype tool resulting from this project. 

The publication and the gained new skills help the Research Projects Coordinator improve their CV.

About You

As a Research Projects Coordinator, you will be able to work on your own initiative, independently as well as part of a team. You can organise and prioritise work effectively demonstrating flexibility and reliability to meet required deadlines. You will also hold excellent communication skills both oral and written. Proven  skills in in the use of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and the production of databases are essential. 

You should have previous experience of carrying out comprehensive literature review and development of research design and/or data collection using identified methods. You will also be experienced in the use of appropriate software for Android app programming, analysis and testing and demonstrable high-quality report writing.
