About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a .NET Web Application Developer (KTP Associate) to work on a multi-tenanted quoting tool, which integrates with numerous CRM and ERP systems.  You will be working with a highly respected academic team and an innovative and successful company. Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTP) is a national scheme administered under the jurisdiction of Innovate UK to facilitate business-university collaboration in tackling key, strategic business-led projects. KTP projects are high impact projects which use knowledge informed research to achieve the significant levels of innovation. The role of the Software Developer - KTP Associate is to facilitate the transfer of knowledge from the University to our partner, Synergy Technology Ltd. 

For the University, this project will allow for the demonstration of significant economic and societal impact of our research base. Synergy Technology are leading North West business solutions provider, specialising Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, bespoke software solutions, software support, hosted workspace services, and cloud technology. 

To allow for the effective delivery of the project and transfer of knowledge, the post will be based full time at the premises of Synergy Technology in Preston, Lancashire

About You

You will be a highly organised individual with the ability to prioritise workload. You should demonstrate a stringent attention to detail, able to problem solve and strong written, numerical and analytical skills. You can also communicate clearly and effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences. You should also be able to work successfully within a project team. 

You will have previous experience of .net web development, ideally experience in developing multi-tenanted MVC web applications, using industry standard OAUTH2 authentication. A strong understanding of relational databases is required including Microsoft SQL Server.  You should also hold in-depth knowledge of cyber security considerations for cloud services.

Ability and willingness to travel is essential.
