Inclusion Officer - Autism Specialist

About You

With excellent interpersonal skills, you will be empathetic, enthusiastic and patient. You will also be well versed in collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to enhance and develop alternative provision to ensure our students remain well supported.

You will be able to demonstrate excellent customer care skills and resilience and have a collaborative approach to work. To be successful you will be a good communicator, with effective negotiating and influencing skills and the ability to develop and build positive working relationships.

About the Role

Edge Hill is an inclusive institution, which welcomes students from all backgrounds. 

This new role is an important addition to our team to provide an enhanced level of support to students and to share knowledge, skills and experience within the team.  You will manage a complex caseload, offering advice and guidance to current and prospective students with a primary focus on students with Autism/ASC, advising colleagues to ensure all appropriate support is put in place.

This role is vital in identifying support needs, suggesting reasonable adjustments and drawing up Student Support Plans to ensure students’ learning needs are met.
