Biology Technician


Location:  Ormskirk
Salary:  £21,414 to £23,334 per annum

About You

You will have experience of working as a biologist in a practical setting either in a field or laboratory environment coupled with relevant qualifications, preferably a degree and a commitment to developing new skills and knowledge in a rapidly expanding department.

You must be an excellent communicator, flexible in your approach and able to work independently as well as part of a team.  A positive attitude, enthusiasm and strong prioritisation skills are also essential.

About the Role

You will provide technical support for teaching and research activities in the Department of Biology, maintaining and operating scientific equipment and collecting and managing data. Microbiology will comprise a significant part of the post.
