About You

We are looking for an experienced Archivist to join the Learning Services team at Edge Hill University and play a pivotal role in the future development of the Edge Hill University archive. The archive is the repository for the print and visual history of the institution from its foundation. You will be educated to degree level with a professional qualification in archives or record management. Considerable experience of managing and developing archival collections and services is essential. You will be motivated and forward-thinking in addition to taking a creative, problem-solving approach to the improvement and development of processes and procedures. You will also be comfortable using your own initiative, prioritising your workload and supervising staff.

About the Role

Based in the Collections & Archives Team, you will have responsibility for ensuring that the University library archive is maintained, developed and promoted to facilitate excellence in learning, teaching and research. You will be proactive in the development of appropriate policies and procedures and ensure best practice in the discoverability, curation, preservation and engagement of the collections in the University archive.
