We’re here to create and harness knowledge, to deliver opportunity for everyone.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Assistant to work at the heart of our beautiful campus, in the newly built Catalyst building. The Catalyst was developed to provide a 24/7 destination to study, research and learn and is home to our Student Services, Library and Learning Services and Careers.
Facilities undertakes the management of spaces within the Catalyst. They ensure that the building offers high quality, adaptable and safe spaces to support our students in their study and research. The team also manage the circulation of stock in Catalyst and St James, Manchester.
As a Facilities Assistant you will work alongside the Evening Facilities Co-Ordinator, whereby you will be involved with general library duties including shelving, tidying of book stock, processing returned library stock and maintaining the Library’s acceptable use policy in relation to noise and inappropriate behaviour. You will also act as first point of contact for any students requiring assistance whilst using the building.
The role works 40 weeks a year between September and June. The hours for this role are Monday to Friday 8pm – 11pm.
As this role includes pastoral care, including triaging mental health and wellbeing emergencies, current EHU students are unable to be considered for this role.
If this sounds like something you are interested in and would like to know more about this vacancy or require further information about the working hours you may wish to contact: Kelly Jameson, Catalyst Manager at jamesok@edgehill.ac.uk
