About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an Administrator, to join the Faculty Administration team, to provide administrative and organisational support to staff and students. As Administrator, you will work closely with colleagues across the Faculty and in other services to ensure Faculty and institutional policies and procedures are adhered to within the Department as well as provide administrative, organisational and customer focused support to a designated department within the Faculty of Arts and Sciences.

About You

As Administrator, you will be reliable, flexible, and attentive to detail with proven organisational and prioritisation skills as well as previous experience of working in a busy office/helpdesk and ability to work under pressure without direct supervision. You will also be able to work well as an individual and as part of a wider team, with commitment to quality, customer service and be able to maintain confidentiality. To be successful, it is essential that you have the interpersonal skills required to negotiate, communicate, and contribute to the development of a busy and growing department positively and tactfully.

We aim to provide our staff with a positive work life balance and have a range of schemes in place to support this. Your continued professional development is as important to us as it is to you and we demonstrate this through our investment in your CPD activity.

As a 40-weeks-per-year term time postholder, you will be expected to take leave outside of your contracted working weeks. You receive 4.95 weeks additional pay (pro rata to your hours) in lieu of annual and statutory leave.

You will be automatically enrolled into the Local Government Pension Scheme and have access to our staff benefits platform, which provides you with discounts across the high street to help you save money on your everyday spending such as supermarket shopping, cinema tickets, dining out and more. We also offer discounted membership to our state-of-the-art sport and leisure facilities.
