About the Role

As Lecturer in Paramedic Practice, you will be required to make a significant contribution to the delivery of our portfolio of Paramedic Programmes, including the BSc (Hons) Paramedic Practice, contributing to the delivery of our modules and other areas of core curriculum depending on your areas of expertise and experience. 

You will also be expected to contribute to the teaching of our students and should have experience of teaching students in the health professions. Prior experience of teaching paramedic students and supporting their progress in the workplace would be an advantage

Candidates will teach and support students in the classroom and also within simulation-based education, in our clinical skills and simulation suites. You will also support our students in their development of competencies in the practice placement area and engage with practice partners

You will also be expected to contribute to the research activities of one of our Research Units and meet the qualitative and quantitative requirements for submission to the next Research Excellence exercise.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Placements Administrator to join the Medical School Administration Team in a varied and interesting role. You will be responsible for the management and co-ordination of administrative processes relating to student placements for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes within the Edge Hill University Medical School.  

This role is fixed term in the first instance, initially until 26/10/2026, covering for the substantive post holder who is on maternity leave. 

You will co-ordinate a wide range of administrative support relating to student placements working in partnership with placement providers.  This is a dynamic and evolving role, with responsibility for the provision of a high-quality support service to both internal and external stakeholders, working within the School Administration Team to deliver an outstanding student experience and to meet the business needs of the school.

About You

You will have strong experience of working in an administrative role and busy office environment, with excellent organisational skills, flexibility, attention to detail, Working collaboratively with the team to contribute the towards a high quality student experience

As Placements Administrator, you will focus upon the planning, organisation, monitoring and quality assurance of practice placements, as well as administrative support for student attendance, within undergraduate and postgraduate medical education programmes. This will require you to build and maintain effective external networks and to develop working relationships which enhance collaboration.
