            <p id="isPasted">We&rsquo;re here to create and harness knowledge, to deliver opportunity for everyone.</p><h2>About the Role</h2><p>The Capability Workstream Lead is a senior delivery and functional leadership role with strategic delivery accountability for an entire defined capability of the Student Record Systems (SRS) implementation programme. The role leads complex workstream delivery, manages cross-functional dependencies, and ensures that system, process, and organisational change is delivered effectively, compliantly, and at pace.</p><p>This is a key post that will contribute to the ambitions of the University&rsquo;s Student Record Systems implementation programme ensuring aspects of the projects strategic priorities are implemented effectively.</p><p>Operating as part of the Programme Leadership Team, the role holds end-to-end accountability for capability workstream outcomes including system design, process transformation, data readiness and organisational adoption. You will be responsible for setting direction, determining priorities, allocating work and assuring quality across their workstream, with direct responsibility for supervising and leading Junior Business Analysts and assigned workstream resources on a day-to-day basis.</p><p>You will work in close partnership with senior academic leaders, professional services heads and enabling workstream leads, shaping how the University operates in a post-implementation environment.</p><p>You will be accountable for delivery defined areas of the Minimum Viable Product (MVP), ensuring workstream requirements are prioritised, validated, and aligned to project objectives.             <h2 id="isPasted">About the Role</h2><p id="isPasted">This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced senior leader to become the new Head of the School of Education in a dynamic, innovative and forward-thinking Faculty of Education.</p><p>Although the title of the school is still to be confirmed in line with wider University strategic developments, its provision will include undergraduate courses in education, youth, mental health, and special educational needs, disabilities and inclusion, and early childhood studies. It will also house our postgraduate portfolio.</p><p>The role has a strong emphasis on interdisciplinary working across education, community and society, and on building a distinctive, high-quality academic portfolio.</p><p>You will provide strategic and operational leadership of the school, with overall responsibility for its performance across learning and teaching, research and knowledge exchange, and student experience.</p><p>Working as part of the Faculty Executive you will lead the development and delivery of the school&rsquo;s strategy in alignment with the University Strategy 2026&ndash;2031. Fluency in the English language.</p><p>Individuals without previous experience will normally join an experienced team of examiners and will be mentored by an experienced examiner in the same or cognate subject area.</p><h2 id="isPasted"><u>Role</u></h2><p id="isPasted">The main responsibility of an External Examiners is to confirm that academic standards are appropriately set and maintained and therefore, their principal duties are to:</p><ul><li>Review and approve examination papers in a timely manner that contribute to a student&rsquo;s final award and any other assessment material as agreed between the examiner and the programme team.</li><li>Review and approve the content, learning outcomes and assessment of negotiated learning modules leading to the award of Student-Initiated Credit.</li><li>Review samples of work that have been marked and internally moderated in order to be satisfied that students have been graded fairly through the use of marking criteria and in accordance with the University&rsquo;s Academic Regulations.</li><li>Produce a comprehensive Annual Report that covers a range of considerations including confirmation whether national threshold standards are being met or exceeded and that students have achieved the intended learning outcomes for the award of credit and qualifications.</li></ul><p>Whilst the majority of work undertaken will be carried out remotely, External Examiners may be required to attend assessment boards at the Ormskirk Campus and school visits on an annual basis.</p><h2 id="isPasted"><u>Salary Details</u></h2><p id="isPasted">External examiners are paid an annual fee of approximately &pound;620.31 (inclusive of holiday pay) based on the time allocations defined below plus reimbursement of expenses, as appropriate. Total fees may vary slightly dependent on the size of the provision covered by an External Examiner. Fluency in the English language.</p><p id="isPasted">Individuals without previous experience will normally join an experienced team of examiners and will be mentored by an experienced examiner in the same or cognate subject area.</p><h2 id="isPasted">Role</h2><p>The main responsibility of an External Examiners is to confirm that academic standards are appropriately set and maintained and therefore, their principal duties are to:</p><ul id="isPasted"><li>Review and approve examination papers in a timely manner that contribute to a student&rsquo;s final award and any other assessment material as agreed between the examiner and the programme team.</li><li>Review and approve the content, learning outcomes and assessment of negotiated learning modules leading to the award of Student-Initiated Credit.</li><li>Review samples of work that have been marked and internally moderated in order to be satisfied that students have been graded fairly through the use of marking criteria and in accordance with the University&rsquo;s Academic Regulations.</li><li>Produce a comprehensive Annual Report that covers a range of considerations including confirmation whether national threshold standards are being met or exceeded and that students have achieved the intended learning outcomes for the award of credit and qualifications.</li></ul><p>Whilst the majority of work undertaken will be carried out remotely, External Examiners may be required to attend assessment boards at the Ormskirk Campus on an annual basis.</p><h2 id="isPasted">Salary Details;</h2><p id="isPasted">External examiners are paid an annual fee of approximately &pound;620.31 (inclusive of holiday pay) based on the time allocations defined below plus reimbursement of expenses, as appropriate. Total fees may vary slightly dependent on the size of the provision covered by an External Examiner.
