The Language Centre at Edge Hill University

The Language Centre provides tuition in English and language support for international students all year round as well as providing modular tuition in Arabic, Chinese (Mandarin), French, German, Italian and Spanish for students, staff and the local community. 

The University's new International Strategy envisages a significant growth in international activity, and the Language Centre will be at the heart of that development.

The Opportunity

The University is embarking on an ambitious new International Strategy, and this is an exciting opportunity to lead the Language Centre into the next phase of its strategic development. 

This role is pivotal in providing the leadership for growth and pushing forward priorities for excellent teaching, intercultural awareness and student support, playing a key part in advancing the University's ambitious internationalisation agenda. As well as this, the Director of the Language Centre will make a major contribution to developing the external profile of the Centre and identifying opportunities for new high-quality initiatives.
