About the Role

As Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Chemistry, you will be required to make a significant contribution to the delivery of our BSc (Hons) Chemistry and MChem (Hons) Chemistry programmes and other areas of our core curriculum depending on your areas of expertise and experience.

You will be expected to contribute to the research activities of one of our Research Units and meet the qualitative and qualitative requirements for submission to the next Research Excellence exercise.

You will be expected to contribute to administrative duties in the department or the wider university community.

About You

You will be an enthusiastic and friendly professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills coupled with a commitment to providing an excellent student experience. An established or promising research profile in chemistry and teaching experience on relevant undergraduate programmes is an advantage. A background in some aspect of chemistry, with supporting qualifications and experience, is essential. We welcome applicants from any area of chemistry, but we are particularly interested in individuals working in areas that provide collaboration opportunities with our existing research units across the institution.
