About the Role

As Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in English, you will be required to make a significant contribution to the delivery of our modules and other areas of our core curriculum depending on your areas of expertise and experience, covering a variety of periods, genres, themes and modes, including ideally some Creative Writing.

You will continue to develop our excellent student experience and departmental culture by being a team player and contributing to enthusiasm and positivity to the team.

You will be expected to contribute to the research activities of one of our Research Units and meet the qualitative and qualitative requirements for submission to the next Research Excellence exercise.

About You

You will be an enthusiastic and friendly professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills coupled with a commitment to providing an excellent student experience. You will hold experience of teaching across a range of undergraduate levels and modules covering a variety of periods, genres, themes and modes. You will have a willingness to learn and take on different roles such as Personal Tutor, Module Leader etc.

You will be versatile and hold a genuine passion for teaching and supervising research and understanding research outputs and knowledge exchange, impact and REF.

To be successful you will further enrich our student’s experience through your expertise and subject knowledge as evidenced through your qualifications and extensive experience of professional practice.
