About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join our well-established department of Social Work and Wellbeing, you will be part of a successful team within the Faculty of Health, Social Care and Medicine. The department is dynamic, forward thinking, innovative and research active with a variety of programmes on offer. Our suite of programmes offer diverse opportunities for our students, whilst the diverse backgrounds of the academic team complement each other, leading to a collaborative and academically stimulating learning environment for both students and staff.
Your main duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Supporting the diverse academic and personal needs of individual students as well as reflecting on your own skills and knowledge, and to seek opportunities to develop
- Being proactive and dynamic in your approaches to teaching, learning and assessment
- Possessing a keen interest and enthusiasm in your subject area and a creativity to how you will impart knowledge and understanding
The current portfolio of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes have experienced a growth in popularity over recent years, reflected in an increase in applications. These are contemporary and exciting programmes which aim to develop graduates who are highly employable and well equipped to work in the field of health and social care.

About You
You will be an enthusiastic and friendly professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills coupled with a commitment to providing an excellent student experience. You will hold experience of working within statutory and non statutory social care services and be able to effectively apply learning to real life situations, delivering research informed teaching and practical and skills experience.
To be successful you will further enrich our student’s experience through your expertise and subject knowledge as evidenced through your qualifications and extensive experience of professional practice. In return, you will join a forward thinking and dynamic team that pushes the boundaries of curriculum.
