 About the Role

 As a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Politics, you will be required to make a significant contribution to the delivery of our Politics programmes, which include BSc (Hons) Politics and International Relations, BA (Hons) History and Politics and LLB (Hons) Law with Politics.  

 Specifically, we welcome candidates who can contribute to, or lead modules, across a range of areas including, but not limited to, Parliamentary Studies, Policy-making, European Politics, and Introductory International Relations. 

 You will be expected to possess leadership and organisational experience necessary to be an effective Programme Leader. You will also be expected to contribute to the research activities of one of our Research Units of Assessment and meet the qualitative and qualitative requirements for submission to the next Research Excellence exercise. We would particularly welcome candidates who are able to apply their research to public engagement or who have experience of building contacts with those working in politics and politically related fields.

You will be an enthusiastic and friendly professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills coupled with a commitment to providing an excellent student experience. An established or promising research profile in Politics or interdisciplinary areas and very good teaching experience on undergraduate Politics or related programmes is essential.

 To be successful you will further enrich our students’ experience through your expertise and subject knowledge as evidenced through your qualifications and experience. In return, you will join a forward thinking and dynamic team that pushes the boundaries of curriculum   development.
