 About the Role

 This is an exciting opportunity for a Research Assistant to gain research experience through conducting primary research, data analysis and research event organization. You will conduct interviews, transcription and coding and write literature reviews for project articles and act as a data officer and assist with data storage and depositing. You will work collaboratively to prepare and co-author academic publications and benefit from supervision and mentorship from two experienced academics whilst playing a role in shaping the EDI policy in the UK HE.

 About You

As Research Assistant you will have: 

  • Expertise in the field of HE and EDI with a focus on race, ethnicity, and/or nationality 
  • Experience in designing and executing research using qualitative methods
  • Experience of high quality report writing
  • Advanced and demonstrable use of appropriate software
  • Ability to work off own initiative, independently as well as part of a team
  • Strong organisational skills 
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral
  • Ability to work within ethical guidelines and maintain high levels of research integrity
