            <h2 id="isPasted">About the Role</h2><p id="isPasted">This is an exciting opportunity for a Data Engineering Lead to join the Data department within Digital, Data and Technology. You will be joining a new Data function right at the start and play a real part in deciding how the service develops.&nbsp;</p><p>Your main duties and responsibilities will include:</p><ul><li>Working with academic and professional service areas to understand priority domains, how data is created and used, and where there are current issues with quality, consistency or timeliness&nbsp;</li><li>Defining and documented trusted datasets, including the business roles, definitions, scope, fields, calculations and quality expectations needed for reporting and analysis&nbsp;</li><li>Leading data quality improvement activity by identifying recurring issues, working with business areas on practical fixes, and supporting better stewardship and accountability for institutional data&nbsp;</li></ul><p>You will help shape the way the University defines trusted data, improves data quality, work with stakeholders and build confidence in institutional reporting and decision making.
