About the Role

As a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Law, you will play a leading role in developing and delivering innovative teaching, research, and scholarship in law.

Legal practice and legal education are evolving rapidly, requiring practitioners and students to acquire traditional legal skills while also developing the capacity to understand and utilise new legal techniques and technology. You will contribute to the School’s strategic ambition to be at the forefront of legal education by embedding innovation, interdisciplinary perspectives, and practice-informed approaches in our curricula. You will be expected to contribute to both undergraduate and postgraduate law teaching across our programmes. Experience and knowledge of law and digital technology is desirable, but not essential.

The School of Law benefits from excellent relationships with the legal and business communities in England and Wales. You will be expected to contribute to the development and enhancement of these relationships with external parties to support the student experience and strengthen the reputation of the School and Edge Hill University.

For informal enquiries about this vacancy, you may wish to contact: Professor Jay Cullen, Head of Law and Criminal Justice at Cullenja@edgehill.ac.uk

About You

You will be an enthusiastic and friendly professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills coupled with a commitment to providing an outstanding student experience.

In return, you will join a forward thinking and dynamic team that pushes the boundaries of curriculum development and research.

At Edge Hill University we value the benefits a rich and diverse workforce brings to our community and therefore welcome applications from all sections of society.
