About the Role
As Lecturer in Practice Learning, you will play a key role in shaping the next generation of nurses and midwives by ensuring students benefit from high-quality, engaging and supportive practice learning experiences. Working closely with healthcare, social care and third-sector partners, you will help develop and enhance practice learning environments that enable students to achieve their professional proficiencies and transition confidently into employment.
You will work collaboratively with programme teams and external partners to expand placement opportunities, support innovative approaches to teaching and assessment, and ensure our students are equipped with the skills, knowledge and confidence required for professional registration.
You will also contribute to the ongoing development and quality assurance of practice learning, helping to enhance the student experience and strengthen relationships with employers across the region.

About You
As Lecturer in Practice Learning you will be a Registered Nurse with current NMC registration and a passion for supporting students to succeed in practice learning environments. Whether your experience has been gained in clinical practice, education, practice learning, workforce development or a combination of these areas, you will bring a strong understanding of the factors that contribute to excellent student learning and professional development.
You will be an enthusiastic and approachable professional with excellent communication and relationship-building skills, enabling you to work effectively with students, academic colleagues and external partners. You will have the ability to inspire, support and challenge learners while contributing to a positive and inclusive learning experience.
