About the Role

As Lecturer in Clinical Skills and Simulation, you will play a key role in delivering and enhancing our Medicine programmes, including MBChB, MBChB with Foundation Year, and MSc Physician Associate Studies. You will teach clinical and communication skills, design and deliver high-quality simulation scenarios, and support student preparation for the Medical Licensing Assessment (MLA) and Clinical and Professional Skills Assessment (CPSA).

Working within our state-of-the-art Clinical Skills and Simulation Centre, you will collaborate closely with Medical School colleagues, NHS Trusts, and community partners to provide authentic, patient-centred education.

About You

You will be an enthusiastic and approachable educator with strong teaching experience across medical, physician associate, or other health professions programmes within higher education or clinical training environments.

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and approachable educator with strong teaching experience in medical or health professions education, current registration with a relevant professional body, and an understanding of PSRB quality assurance processes. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, alongside a clear commitment to delivering an outstanding student experience. The successful applicant will be motivated to develop their research profile and able to enrich student learning through their subject expertise and professional practice experience.

It is important to note that the successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced Adult disclosure for you from the Disclosure and Barring Service and that this will form part of the conditions of offer of employment.
