About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Medical School within the Faculty of Health, Social Care & Medicine, as Lecturer in Practice learning. As part of this role, you will:

  • Contribute effectively to curriculum delivery, under direction of Year leads ensure alignment of placement learning outcomes, curriculum content and assessment strategies
  • Enhance the quality of placement education and provision by ensuring that you deliver and evaluate teaching sessions that prepare students for clinical placements and support post-placement reflection
  • Monitor and promote equitable access to high-quality learning opportunities across all placement settings through feasible, inclusive, and context-sensitive interventions

About You

As Lecturer in the Placement Experience Team, you will be required to make a significant contribution to the delivery of Medical Education, contributing to the teaching, scholarly activity, professional practice, knowledge exchange, business engagement and associated administrative activities of our 5 Year Medicine and 6 year Medicine with Foundation year (MBChB) and the MSc Physicians Associate programmes and other areas of our core curriculum depending on your areas of expertise and experience.

You will also you will enrich our student’s experience through your expertise and subject knowledge, and extensive experience of professional practice. In return, you will join a forward thinking and dynamic team that pushes the boundaries of curriculum development within medical education and student experience.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate clinical currency by still being in practice as a nurse/ ACP/ paramedic /PA or other healthcare role.
