 About the Role

As a Lecturer in Research Development Fellow (Doctoral Training) Grade 9 you will:

  • Lead the coordination of the MRes
  • Contribute as a member of a team led by the Dean of the Graduate School, to the design, delivery, management and implementation of the core postgraduate researcher development programme
  • Contribute to the design, delivery, and evaluation of the University’s Research Development Programme

In order to undertake the above duties you will hold:

  • Experience of providing a range of support needs for postgraduate researchers
  • Knowledge of the researcher development agenda and doctoral education
  • Experience of contributing to postgraduate research development across the sciences, social sciences and arts & humanities

 As a Lecturer in Research Development Fellow (Doctoral Training) Grade 10 you will:

  • Design, deliver, manage and evaluate summer schools for doctoral and pre-doctoral postgraduate researchers and early careers researchers
  • Design, develop, deliver, manage, and evaluate a Graduate School CPD offer
  • Evaluate, re-design, develop, deliver, and manage the University’s approach to research degree supervisor development

In order to undertake the above duties you will hold:

  • Experience of leadership of MRes provision and the development of pre-doctoral frameworks
  • Experience of leading the development and delivery of research degree summer schools and doctoral training events
  • Leadership of the design and delivery of research degree supervisor development activities
