About the Role
As Lecturer or Senior Lecturer, you will be required to make a significant contribution to the delivery of our Computer Science undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, as well as CPD courses. Applicants with substantial expertise in one or more of our priority areas of Computer Science are encouraged to apply. Areas of priority includes contributing to/leading the delivery & research in Robotics & Embedded Systems, Software Engineering, Cloud Computing, Distributed Systems, and closely related areas.
You will be expected to contribute to the research profile of the department, establishing and/or contributing to activities of one of our Research Units and to meet the qualitative and quantitative requirements for submission to the next Research Excellence Framework (REF).

About You
You will be an enthusiastic and friendly professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills coupled with a commitment to providing an excellent student experience. An established or promising research profile in a Computer Science field (ideally in our priority areas and relevant/complementary to our existing research) and excellent teaching experience on undergraduate and/or postgraduate Computer Science programmes is essential. Industrial experience, in related areas, would be an advantage. Existing/previous teaching experience in the UK Higher Education is highly desirable.
To be successful you will further enrich our student’s experience through your expertise and subject knowledge as evidenced through your qualifications and extensive experience of professional practice.
