About the Role

As Lecturer in Psychology, Sociology and Public Health, you will be required to make a significant contribution to the delivery of our 5 and 6-year MBChB our Physician Associate Studies and Nutrition and Health programmes. You will be contributing to the delivery of our themes on psychology, sociology and public health and other areas of our core curriculum depending on your areas of expertise and experience.

You will be expected to contribute to the research activities of one of our Research Units and meet the qualitative and qualitative requirements for submission to the next Research Excellence exercise.

About You

You will be an enthusiastic and friendly professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills coupled with a commitment to providing an excellent student experience. An established or promising research profile in psychology, sociology and public health and very good teaching experience on undergraduate medicine or similar PSRB programmes. A background in Medicine and Healthcare, and an understanding of the professional context of medical practice and how sociology is integral to this with supporting qualifications and experience would be an advantage.

To be successful you will further enrich our student’s experience through your expertise and subject knowledge as evidenced through your qualifications and extensive experience of professional practice.
