About the Role

As Lecturer in Lecturer in Nurse Education (Mental Health) you will be required to make a significant contribution to the delivery of relevant modules and other areas of our core curriculum, including simulated practice learning, depending on your areas of expertise and experience.

The role involves delivering high-quality, evidence-based teaching and assessment across the Mental Health Nursing programme, using inclusive and innovative learning approaches aligned with current practice and regulatory standards. You will be expected to provide academic, pastoral and practice-based support to students, ensuring their progression, wellbeing and professional development in line with NMC requirements

The post also contributes to curriculum development, quality enhancement and scholarly activity, while working collaboratively with practice partners to support placements, workforce development and clinical academic links.

You will be expected to contribute to the research activities of one of our Research Units and meet the qualitative and qualitative requirements for submission to the next Research Excellence exercise.

You will be an enthusiastic and friendly professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills coupled with a commitment to providing an excellent student experience. An established or promising research profile in mental health and strong teaching experience on undergraduate Nursing programmes is essential.

To be successful you will further enrich our student’s experience through your expertise and subject knowledge as evidenced through your qualifications and extensive experience of professional practice. In return, you will join a forward thinking and dynamic team that pushes the boundaries of curriculum development within Nursing and Midwifery Education.
